Answers to some frequently asked questions:

I would like to make a donation to WDCS
Thank you – go to our donation page and you can make a secure online credit card donation to WDCS from anywhere in the world.  Unfortunately, we are unable to accept regular donations from overseas due to the administration costs involved.

I need some information for my homework / thesis / dissertation – can you help?
Unfortunately we receive literally lots of requests each year from children and students wishing for help with specific questions.  If you have a homework question, check out Education pages for ideas and information.

Our school would like to help support WDCS
Great.  We have many ways for pupils and schools to get involved. You can adopt a whale or dolphin.  Or why not get active and organize a fundraising event.  WDCS also provides a variety of education material for use in class.  For more information contact us.

How does WDCS spend its money? Does a lot go on administration?
Like most organisations, we can only operate if we spend a percentage of our income on essential running costs.  WDCS is accountable both to those who people who support the organisation and to those who it seeks to benefit by its efforts.  This ensures that costs are maintained at a reasonable level.  For more information on how WDCS spends the money it receives, read our Annual Review.

Why does WDCS spend money on fundraising?
We spend money on fundraising so we are able to raise more money, ensures that we have enough money to meet our existing commitments and to expand our work.  WDCS fundraisers have to work to tight budgets and to prove that new fundraising activities are successful before investing money in them.

How can I volunteer for WDCS?
WDCS offers many opportunities to volunteer with WDCS in countries where we have offices (UK, USA, Australia and Germany).  You can find our about these on the national websites.

Can you keep me up to date with what is happening with WDCS campaigns?
Yes you can! Just join our free email update list on the left hand side on this page.  You'll receive regular news on our work and campaigns.
